About

I’m a French and Portuguese molecular biologist, and I’ve been studying skeletal muscle for more than a decade from development and normal physiology to how muscle is affected in diseases. I’m currently an assistant instructor at UT Southwestern Medical Center (Dallas) in Dr. Eric N. Olson’s lab, where I combine single-nucleus sequencing, genetics, and mouse models to understand how muscle works and what drives its adaptations. I completed my PhD in Paris, focusing on skeletal muscle transcription and the regulation of muscle gene expression. I’m now transitioning to start my own research group. In 2024, I was awarded an NIH K99/R00 Pathway to Independence grant.
